The Marcos

Introducing The Marcos (previously known as Red Leather Yellow Leather), Toronto's most captivating and hilariously self-aware band!

With a fusion of influences ranging from the poetic anthems of The Tragically Hip to the infectious grooves of Talking Heads, Max Steinman leads the charge with his soul-stirring vocals and mesmerizing guitar skills. His raw passion is perfectly complemented by the unstoppable force behind the drum kit, Ryan Mash, who draws inspiration from prog rock legends like Neil Peart, leaving audiences in awe of his rhythmic wizardry. Adding an air of intrigue and undeniable charm to the mix, we have the tall and enigmatic Marco Adamovic, holding it down on the bass with unmatched style. Though slightly embarrassed by the band's name, he remains the undisputed coolest guy in the vibrant city of Toronto. Rounding out this extraordinary quartet is the captivating Matt Boehm, whose soulful vocals and guitar prowess transport listeners to an emotional oasis, channeling the spirit of a perfect blend between Macy Gray's soulful expression and Brittany Howard's fearless energy.

This hipster ensemble of talented musicians not only captivates audiences with their irresistible melodies but also keeps their day jobs intact with wildly successful careers. The Marcos invite you to join them on a journey that seamlessly blends irresistible music, contagious laughter, and a wink to the absurdities of life. Get ready to dance, laugh, and be thoroughly entertained by this delightful musical phenomenon

Poor Pelly

There are people who interpret a place in their art, in their song, in their work, and there are people who are a place. Poor Pelly is Durham Region. Born in Oshawa, he has been drawing inspiration from this odd muse for decades. Durham's music scene has been rocked 'n rolled by Poor Pelly's solo work, his stint with the Kent Boys, and the ongoing on and off work with his band of brothers The Stables. Something he refers to as "the extended beginning to the continuous end."

He has a style with deep roots in the purple woods of the Oak Ridges Moraine, a style that rises from the dark waters of Lake Ontario. Call it the Durham Sound, all it Black Grass, alt-country, Cow-punk, Folk-shock, but don't call too early in the morning. On the record, there is his solo disc, "Live From The Front Porch;" with the Kent Boys, there are two albums, "A Horse No Man Could Ride" & "Atticus Finch." With The Stables, there is the Tour EP and the self-titled full length.

Still writing songs, he has albums worth of material, but remains far too "Poor Pelly" to find a way to get into the studio.  The years he spent as host for open stages in Oshawa have entered legendary status. Not to mention cross-Canada tours with the likes of U.S.S. & Cuff the Duke. Pelly is that guy. The guy that gives more than he takes. The audience is richer by the end of the night, it's true. There is a reason why he is called POOR Pelly

GT Harris & The Gunslingers

From the Horseshoe Tavern to stages across the country, GT Harris has seen it all. Come see his unique brand of Outlaw folk country live! He is a Rockin' 'n' Rollin' / Country & Western Music Lovin' / Guitar Pickin' / Harmonica Blowin' / Foot Stompin' / Honky Tonkin' / Folk Singin' / Canadian Rebel Buckaroo!!

La Magia Candombe

La Magia is a Toronto-based band that fuses Candombe, a lively Afro-Uruguayan rhythm that has played a significant role in Uruguayan culture for over 200 years, with modern genres such as reggae, rock, R&B and other latin types of music.

The rhythm is created by the useof three drums or "tambores” as they are called. When these drums are fusedwith guitars, keyboard and other modern instruments, the end result is ahigh-energy explosion of vibrant sounds.
Sergio Barboza, La Magias director and JackLake resident, has taken on the responsibility to spearhead the growth of the culture and music of Candombe. He has put together an ensemble of multicultural creative people who are always at work in the development of this music locally and abroad.  "Rhythmic, Colourful, Vibrant, Energetic and Enigmatic. That is… La Magia!"

We’d like to share a big thank you and a huge amount of gratitude to both Anchorage Marina and Forest Glen Marina for enabling these amazing events to take place!
