JLA Petition Received

The Jack’s Lake Association (JLA) has received a Petitionfrom 99 individuals, 79 of whom have been confirmed as paid and currentindividual members.
The Petition enables these members to call a Special Meetingof members (under bylaw 4.2 Special Meeting and bylaw 3.7 Other Nominations) todissolve the current Board of Directors and elect directors of their choice. The process to ascertain the membership statusof the remaining 20 individuals continues and more Petition requests continueto be received.
The last membership report in July 2021 contained in BoardMinutes indicated that there were 213 members and therefore, the required 25%threshold has been met. While it hasbeen requested, the full and current membership list has not yet been provided.
Per bylaw 4.3 Notice, youwill receive a further announcement of the day/time of the virtual meeting anda link, which will serve as the 10 day notice. This Special Meetingwill include the previous Treasurer’s financial report and the election of Directors.
There is a group of lakers, not currently on the Board, whohave indicated willingness to help facilitate this transition. More information will be provided asap.
