Steven Kerr

KERR, Steven James - Of Ennismore, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2024 at the age of 71 years.

Born on July 8,1953, Steven was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a dedicated fisherman and cherished his time spent at the family cottage, where he created countless memories with his loved ones. Steven’s passion for fishing was only matched by his love for genealogy and his commitment to family. He will be remembered for his punctuality, dry wit, and dogged determination he brought to those around him.

His legacy of connecting with people through the JLA, MNRF, fishing derbies, loon tallies and the sport associations he volunteered for will live on through the countless lives he touched.

Steven is survived by his wife Karen, children Jenna (Corey), Allan (Selena), and Andrew (Tara); his grandchild Norah, and many friends and family who will miss him dearly.

A Celebration of Steven’s Life was held on Thursday, August 22nd, 2024 from 2 – 5 p.m. at the Nisbett Funeral Home, 600 MONAGHAN ROAD S., Peterborough, Ontario.

In lieu of flowers and for Steven’s love of wildlife donations be made to the Ontario Turtle Trauma Centre in Steven’s honor. You may post to the Guestbook here.

Rest in peace, Steven. You will be deeply missed.
